A Time for Reflection

Every new year carries with it a change, and change is inevitable. New year carries with it a hope of something better and a chance to start over. Changing and evolving shows not only signs of maturity, but also strength of character. Reflection and introspection, at this time of the year, will help you look at the year gone by and what are your expectations for the new year.

We have so many roles to juggle every day and we forget to take time out for ourselves. With so many priorities and a list of things to do and in a rush to complete all this, we also need to ensure we take out time for us. Our goals might have taken a different path from when we started the year as compared to when we end the year. Reflecting and thinking about these changes and what it has meant for you in terms of your emotional and intellectual quotient will give you the perspective on how you want the coming year to look like.

Contemplate, Express and Choose

This new year is the best time to contemplate, to do those things we have been putting off for a long time. It could be something as simple as expressing your feelings or pursuing your passion and dream. We all have our vulnerabilities and that is okay, no one is perfect, but we can work towards doing our best. Accepting your flaws and working towards them can be your biggest asset. Once you accept your flaws, no one can use them against you and make you feel insecure about yourself.

Contemplate on who you are, express and decide where you want to be and choose how you want to reach there. Be the master of your destiny and open yourself to the possibilities the world has to offer you.

Life has a lot to offer us, but sometimes we are not ready or to accept the opportunities it throws our way. We need to open our mind to possibilities and no matter what curveballs life throws at you, a positive attitude and outlook will help you achieve all that you desire for.

A New Year, A New Beginning

Let this new year begin on a note of positivity and happiness. Embrace the new year with open arms and an open mind, soak in all the goodness it has offer and believe that with faith you can conquer any and all hardships and you emerge as a stronger and more courageous person.

“For last year's words belong to last year's language, and next year's words await another voice.

And to make an end is to make a beginning."

-T.S. Eliot

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.”
